Ghazal specialises in beautiful freehand florals, delicate jewellery adornments, geometric patterns, and flowing, organic textures that decorate the body and tell your story.
Ghazal sees tattoos as a beautiful exchange of energy – a medium through which to capture, honour and enhance moments of happiness, grief and celebration. She loves to draw flowing florals that accentuate the natural shape and curves of the body, working with you to express your vision and your emotion onto the skin.
Before moving to Scotland to join The Island, Ghazal has lived in Iran, the Netherlands, Ibiza, the USA and Spain. A fluent English, Farsi, Dutch and Spanish speaker, she brings a truly unique blend of experiences and influences to her work.
Her art draws on her Persian heritage, taking inspiration from the stunning mosaics and tiles of classical mosques. Her work brings these elements into dialogue with numerous other influences and traditions, reflecting Ghazal’s diverse interests and experiences.
As well as practising yoga (she’s a qualified Hatha yoga teacher), in her spare time Ghazal is a keen diver and intrepid explorer.
