The Island began as a dream. A dream to make a space in the city that evokes the freedom of walking through the forest, or of relaxing in a meadow. Tapping into all the senses, we’ve designed a space that incorporates sounds and scents from natural landscapes, and as many natural materials as possible. Edinburgh is lucky to be so close to nature, but we want to take this even further by bringing those vital qualities indoors.
